River Valley Baptist Church is independent in organisation, self-governing, with a solid foundation in doctrine, and evangelistic in purpose. The work of our church family is the greatest work in the world — the work of God in the hearts and lives of people (Mark 16:15). A Place for Worship – The main reason we meet together is to focus our attention on our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, to give Him our worship and to receive His blessing and inspiration.

A Place for Learning – Studying the Bible is vital to guide us spiritually. Everyone at River Valley is invited to participate as we grow in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ. We preach and teach strictly from the Bible and believe and accept it as God’s Word to us. We believe the Bible is a book that is alive and relevant to our lives today.

A Place for Friendship – River Valley Baptist Church as a part of the Family of God is bonded together by a common faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and a loving trust in God's Word as found in the Scriptures. Lasting bonds are built between members in the joy of Christian friendship.

A Place for Service – Our responsibility as Christians is not only to be ministered to but also to minister to others. We are committed to loving and serving one another, our community, town and the world through a vibrant missions program at home and abroad. We encourage each member to find an area to serve the Lord with his or her various talents or gifts.

A Place for Outreach – Each service at River Valley Baptist Church people are challenged to meet the Lord Jesus Christ as Saviour. We believe our strongest purpose, as Christians, is to tell others of the Lord Jesus Christ's salvation plan. Besides sharing our faith with others on a daily basis, we are privileged to take the Good News of our Saviour to homes in our community.

A Place for Enrichment – There are a number of activities and special events planned throughout the year for youth, children and adults to be personally enriched in their daily walk with Christ.
